The Christmas Story

The Cast of Christmas introduces any young reader to the ten major players in the Christmas story in this short story book complete with scripture, readings, and an illustrated painting for each cast member.

The Christmas story is unlike any other. It includes angelic visitations, a cruel genocide, ancient fulfilled prophecies, miracles, laughter, great joy, shame and embarrassment, a pilgrimage, friendships, arch enemies, and loyal allies.

As you read through the ten Christmas characters try to imagine what their life was like and try to identify with each of their reactions to Jesus.   For every character start by reading the Scripture embedded in the picture and then answer the introduction questions meant to provoke curiosity in the character and the painting.  Finish by reading the paragraphs on the right hand side of each page and answering the provided questions before ending in prayer. The last character, Jesus, is meant to provide you an opportunity to explain the gospel with your child and talk candidly about why Jesus came into the world.
